Turner Classic Tuesday — April 5-12, 2016

Each Tuesday Hunter highlights the best classic films airing in the coming week on TCM.

One movie is about a bomb. Another was a bomb. And the other has Mickey Rooney pretending to be a Chinese person.

THIS WEEK’S PICKS

<strong>Tuesday, April 5</strong>
Looking for a lighthearted rom-com. Don’t let the title fool you – On The Beach in not that. It’s actually about Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner and Fred Astaire as survivors of a nuclear winter living in a post-apocalyptic world.
<strong>Thursday, April 7</strong>
I’m pretty sure I’ve recommended Breakfast At Tiffany’s before…but hey, if you didn’t watch it last time, check out Audrey Hepburn in her most famous role, and Mickey Rooney in his most racist.
<strong>Saturday, April 9</strong>
OK, I know I recommended Exorcist II: The Heretic (back at Episode 25) and here’s why – it may be one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Ever. So there’s you incentive, I guess.
