The Dudes brew up some healthy competition within themselves to revisit Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2007 oil-drenched epic, There Will be Blood. They wield their best (read: horrible) Daniel Plainview impressions to tackle this tale of early 20th century individualism set against the building blocks of America – capitalism and religion. On this rewatch, do they discover that Daniel Day-Lewis actually turns in a weak and overwrought performance? (No.) Does PTA’s world view further isolate Jake from fully embracing his idiosyncratic visions? (🤷♀️) Does Peterson gush over this epic like a geyser of crude bursting from the ocean of oil under our feet? (Naturally.)
