Turner Classic Tuesday — June 23-30, 2015

Each Tuesday Hunter highlights the best classic films airing in the coming week on TCM.

Our lineup this week is a mixed bag. While none quite makes it to the summit of “essential viewing”, each is a worthy trophy any movie buff should be proud to hang on their wall.

THIS WEEK’S PICKS

<strong>Tuesday, June 23</strong>
You may not have seen From Here To Eternity, but you’ve no doubt seen its most famous scene. Well guess what film fan, there’s another 117 minutes! PS – This was directed by Fred Zinnemann, who directed High Noon
<strong>Wednesday, June 24</strong>
In 1975, Logan’s Run predicted a future that so favors youth, it eradicates anyone once they turn 30. Just in case you needed more incentive to move out of dad’s basement. Starring Michael York (yes, that Michael York from Austin Powers).
Friday<strong>, June 27</strong>
Judgment At Nuremberg chronicles the Nuremberg trials of Nazi war criminals. Spencer Tracy is a cantakerous judge. Burt Lancaster is a Nazi. And a…pre-Star Trek…William Shatner…is a…Amer…ican…captain. They don’t make movies like this anymore. Well, they do, but they usually aren’t this good.

If you catch one of Hunter’s TCT picks share your thought with us on Twitter or Facebook!
