Turner Classic Tuesday — June 16-23, 2015

Each Tuesday Hunter highlights the best classic films airing in the coming week on TCM.

Evil Nazis. Deranged gangsters. The wild west. Nope, I’m not describing a Quentin Tarantino film fest. It’s this week’s Turner Classic Tuesday!

THIS WEEK’S PICKS

Tuesday, June 16
Men-on-a-mission war movies equals Hunter-on-his-happy-ass-on-the-couch. Where Eagles Dare is one of the best, starring Richard Burton and CLINT EASTWOOD battling dirty, Na-Zee scum!
Friday, June 19
If you’ve only seen The Cider House Rules, Secondhand Lions, or heck, even Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies, you might think Michael Caine is a sweet, old Cockney bloke. You’d be wrong. He’s a total flippin’ badass. Get Carter will correct your lapse in judgment.
Saturday, June 20
Ride The High Country is one of “Bloody Sam” Peckinpah’s first directorial ventures…and it’s actually not bloody. It is however a fun romp through the old west, starring two of motion pictures’ most underappreciated stars, Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea.

If you catch one of Hunter’s TCT picks share your thought with us on Twitter or Facebook!
